Our Company
Imagine Civil & Construction Limited delivers residential, commercial, industrial and civil infrastructure projects through a single, professionally led team that is accountable for cost, design, programme and quality from first estimate to final handover.
Our Purpose
Imagine Civil & Construction Limited exists to remove the gaps that cost clients money. Too often a project is split between a separate estimator, designer, builder and civil contractor, each working to a different brief. Responsibility is lost between them, and the client pays for the errors. ICCL brings these disciplines together under one accountable structure, with every specialist committed to the same outcome: a project delivered on budget, on programme and to the standard it was designed for.
Where We Work
-
High-End Residential :
Architecturally designed homes and bespoke residences where specification, detail and finish matter as much as structure. We bring the precision of quantity surveying to high-value residential builds, so the cost plan is accurate before construction starts and the owner knows what the finished home will cost.
-
Commercial:
Offices, retail and mixed-use buildings delivered with cost certainty, documented change control and programme discipline.
-
Industrial:
Warehousing, manufacturing and processing facilities, where access, services and heavy-structure detail must be planned up front.
-
Civil and Infrastructure:
Earthworks, drainage, roading, services and site infrastructure that support every project above. Civil works are planned and priced with the building works, not added as an afterthought.
Why Professional Integration Matters
Construction projects in New Zealand regularly overrun their budgets. Research from Massey University found that NZ road projects experience approximately 20% cost overruns, with frequent design changes, incomplete tender documentation and inaccurate quantity take-off among the main causes. A 2019 study of NZ construction projects by Zhao and colleagues identified the factors that drive project cost, and a 2019 ARCOM study by Adafin and colleagues found that budget variability is largely set by risks that exist before construction begins.
The lesson is consistent. Most cost overruns are not caused by bad luck on site. They are caused by decisions made early, by estimates prepared without full knowledge of how the work will be built, and by handovers between parties who do not share responsibility for the result.
That is why specialised, integrated delivery matters. A high-value project demands professionals who understand each other's work: a quantity surveyor who knows how design choices affect cost, a builder who knows how the civil works and services interface with the structure, and a project lead who answers for the whole outcome. When these roles sit inside one team, the risks that cause overruns are identified during planning, not discovered during construction.
ICCL is built on that principle. Every member of our team is a professional in their own right, and every member works to a common goal: a result that is delivered as designed, priced honestly and completed well. [CONFIRM: team members, qualifications and registrations]
